Autumn

The beginning of Autumn is a great time to buy British produce. As we summer draws to a close, all the best fruit and vegetables are ending the season too. Sweetcorn, aubergines and tomatoes can be grown right into October. Just as those fresh summer ingredients come out of season, gourds, spinach, rocket, quince all come into season. 

Spiral courgette tart with pine nut salsa

This is the show stopper for a summer lunch. It light, fresh and zesty and best served along side a green salad.

Tarts are one of those things that you can whip out easily and it looks like you've put so much effort in.
